Whenever
I select any form to open, it gives message Access
Denied.?
If
you are getting Access Denied. (Shown in fig.
no. 19.1 below) Message that means you have not been given
the privileges to open the forms. If you are an Administrator
and still getting this error message then in this case
please go to Explorer window and click “set users
privilege” node. After doing so you’ll get
a form for setting privileges. In this form click on Open
tab and tick all the forms from the list for which you
would like to set open privilege. Or else click on Select
All option to set open privilege for all forms.
And then save the setting. In the same way you can set
privileges to Add, Delete, Modify records.
How
to start SQL Server Services?
To
start the SQL server services, right click the SQL server
icon; now select “MSSQLServer-Start’’
option. This will do the needful.
Why
do I need to back up the database?
Back
up of a database makes a copy of a database, which can
be used incase the original database copy is lost.
It is advisable to take backups frequently so as to keep
your data secured in case of unexpected damage. You should
take backup of your database after you do significant
entries to it, before importing data from other software
and after importing data from other database.
Where
is backup database saved? What is its file extension?
How much data is saved in one Backup?
Backup
database is saved in the Backup folder, which is present
in the application folder. This file will have .bak
extension. The complete data present in the database till
the day on which you have taken backup will be saved in
one back up.
What
is database restore? Why do I need to do this? When is
it advisable to restore a database? How much data will
I get after restoring a database?
Restoring
a database backup returns the database to the same state
it was in when the last backup was taken. Any incomplete
transactions in the database backup, (transactions that
were not complete when the backup operation completed
originally), are rolled back to ensure the database remains
consistent.
Backing
up and restoring a database allows for the complete restoration
of data over a wide range of potential system problems.
What
does Importing means? Will there be any errors due to
Data Import?
Importing
means transfer of data from one database to other database.
In context with our application importing means transfer
of data from any other specified database to our database.
Errors may be generated after importing data such as invalid
use of null while using the application. In such
case select the record from grid and save it again.

How
much space is required on my machine to install Quick
Insure?
Your
machine should have atleast 600 MB space to install Quick
Insure.
What
configuration of Processor in machine is required to install
Quick Insure?
To
install Quick Insure your machine should have at least
a processor euivalent to Pentium1 processors.
How
much RAM should be present in my machine to successfully
install Quick Insure on my machine?
To
install Quick Insure on your machine you need to have
atleast 32 MB RAM.
I
am getting errors while installing Quick Insure?
Check
that Operating System(OS) on your machine is not of a
older version than Windows 98 (SE). Check that the OS
is updated with latest service packs. Check that you have
a proper machine configuration as mentioned above.

can I get updates?
Updates
are available and downloadable from our web site "www.quick-insure.com".
They are also available on CDs. We can courier you CDs
on your preference for which courier charges are extra.

can I get updates?
Updates
are released soon after LIC of India releases its updates.
There could be intermediate updates in Quick Insure as
enhancement in product.
How
do I update my software?
Please
look at readme.txt file along with the update file. It
will have all the instructions required to update the
software.
